July 2021 Athlete of the Month

Aaron Gould

Coach’s Thoughts:

Aaron brings a lot of personality, drive, and a never give up attitude to CCF. He is always a pleasure to have in class and has been an integral part to building the community at CCF since Day 1. Outside of being a Tiktok superstar, did you know Aaron created our CCF Logo? Looking forward to what Aaron brings to the table (at CCF and TikTok) in the upcoming months! Congrats!

  1. How long have you been doing CrossFit?

So, I had known about CrossFit for a few years before starting it, and I always thought it looked like a lot of fun-if fun is the correct term... I eventually hyped myself up enough to go check out a class, in January of 2020 and from then on I got hooked.

  2. Favorite Movement?

I love pretty much every barbell movement especially the Olympic lifts, because they’re so technical you have to be really focused, and you can pretty much always improve on something. Bonus points when they’re paired with the assault bike.

  3. What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to start CrossFit?

Just do it. The only thing I regret about starting CrossFit is not starting it the first time I heard about it.

  4. Favorite thing about CCF?

The people! The coaches make class fun even when I’m dreading a WOD, there’s always a good laugh. Everyone is super positive and encouraging, being around people like that really pushes you, even when you’re not at the gym. It’s also walking distance from my house, so that’s a close second, lol.

  5. What do you do when you’re not at CCF (job, hobbies, other fitness, etc)?

My day job is designing cars, which is a ton of fun. Outside of that I’ve been doing a lot of home improvement/DIY stuff around my house, and I started filming that and putting it on the internet.

  6. What is your next big fitness goal?

Oh man, that’s a tough one. I’d say I really want to conquer my fear of box jumps...I got stitches in my shin last time I tried them, so it’s kind of a sore subject.
